Testimonials
The IIBA Charlotte Metro Chapter had the privilege of Bill speaking to our members on Agile philosophies. I have to say it was the best received speaking engagement in the chapter’s history. Bill was very informative, engaging, and able to bring Agile concepts to a level everyone could understand.

I took an Agile Project Management course, for which Bill was the instructor. He did a great job communicating the concepts while making it fun to learn. He also connected with each of the students and was skilled at responding to comments in a respectful way while keeping the discussion on topic. As a PMP working to earn the required PDUs, I’ve endured many training classes and many different types of instructors. In my opinion, Bill is very good at what he does.

I attended an Agile requirements course Bill taught for my employer. Ive attended 5 project management related courses in the last 8 months. I was a corporate training manager in my earlier career. I can easily say Bill is a dynamic trainer that not only displays a high level of knowledge, he also has an intense passion for the subject matter and for teaching. All these attributes combine to make Bill’s classes interesting, fun and well worth the time it takes to attend.

I have had many training classes throughout my 20+ years in the IT industry and Bill was by far the best instructor I have ever had. He made the examples both practical and they always seemed to fit into the material at the right time and place. I know there were times that some of the class participates were wondering what is this guy doing? We don’t have time for “fun”, we need to get down to business and get through this material and learn what we need to know. Afterwards, they all understood that each of those “fun” exercises were there to teach an important lesson that might not have be as reinforced had the groups not participated in the activities he had planned. If you want to really learn what Agile is, get Bill Gaiennie as your instructor. I learned more in this in 3 days than I have learned in reading about Agile over the past 2 years. Know I have some real ideas on how to try to implement this in my part of the organization. It will be an on going improvement process, which as he said, is the way to build Agile skills. The most difficult part for me is how to influence the other parts fo the organization to bring us to the “table”. Thanks Bill for a job well done.

Bill was the instructor for the Agile Project Management Boot Camp three day training program. Bill is a subject matter expert in Agile project management. He shared lots of pertinent stories from the trenches and was very creative in engaging the class in case studies and class discussions. A great instructor and mentor!

ASPE sponsored our March, 2010 IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) Columbus Chapter meeting. Bill Gaiennie was the keynote speaker and the topic was “The role of a BA on an Agile project”. Bill was a very dynamic speaker and shared a lot of great information and examples. The feedback on Bill’s presentation was great – some of our members shared the following “Bill was the most entertaining, as well as informative speaker” and “One of the best presentations on Agile I have heard”. We would highly recommend Bill as a speaker for your next event!

Bill recently gave a three day seminar on Agile methodology at UVA. He was great — not only for his depth of knowledge, but his ability to keep us all engaged for the entire event. I left energized, with a clear understanding of Agile principles and techniques, and concrete sense of where to begin applying them. This was in part because of Bill’s ability to teach the right things, but also for his teaching style itself — disarming, engaging, with the right amount of humor, well placed to keep the ball rolling. I highly recommend him.

Bill trained our company in a three day Agile Project Management Workshop. The training was the best I have ever experienced, hands down. Bill’s experience and knowledge of the process and subject was fantastic, but most impressive was his skill in training and coaching. Bill’s interactive training style and delivery kept all of us riveted to our seats. Every concepts was explained thoroughly and demonstrated whenever possible. I walked away from the training feeling like I already had a commanding understand of the subject of Agile Project Management. I can’t wait to take this knowledge to task. Thank you Bill and thank you Davisbase.

I highly recommend Bill as an Agile trainer / coach to support your migration to or improvement of your Agile methodology. His knowledge and insights are based on real world experience and success not just academics. His presentation style effectively enables his students to understand and retain the information presented. We will be using his services again in the future.
